The 2016 Water Forum, themed “Coming Together for a Sustainable Water Supply,” was held Tuesday, September 20, at Fairplex Conference Center in Pomona. More than 200 attendees – students, faculty, elected officials, business representatives, water professionals and public works and water utility officials – were on hand. NBC4 had a leading role with Reporter Patrick Healy serving as Master of Ceremonies, and Meteorologist David Biggar providing an update on El Nino, La Nino and the drought.
Experts from throughout California and the United States provided our guests with outstanding presentations about water supply conditions in the State and the San Gabriel Valley, new/evolving water supply solutions and enhanced water conservation. Our keynote presentation was moderated by Tim Quinn, executive director of the Assn. of California Water Agencies and offered water supply perspectives from northern, central and southern California.
