Azusa Street Medians

Description/Highlights The project renovated the center median island located in the 100 block of N. Azusa Ave. in the City of Azusa, utilizing drip  irrigation and drought tolerant plant material with boulders and river rock. In addition, a median at Memorial Park which hosts a wide variety of sports, exercise and community activities, was renovated with artificial turf, boulders and river rock.

Equipment
Low-water and drought-tolerant vegetation including California Native  plants, grasses and water-wise succulents. Hardscapes such as boulders and mulch further reduced turf coverage and help conserve water.
  Irrigation equipment included Rainbird ZCZ-150-PRB-COM High Flow Control zone Kit for large commercial drip zones. Drip to be a grid system (Nenifin Drip tubing with flush valves).
  Featured vegetation included Ceanothus Griseus "Yankee Point,” Encilia Californica, Lomandra Longifolia "Breeze,” Rosmarinus Officinalis "Huntington Carpet,” and Slavia Apiana
