Description/Highlights The school is located in a very visible and busy residential area. The front of its campus was devoid of attractive vegetation and featured extensive turf vegetation. This project removed about 50 percent of the old turf, and added new drought-tolerant landscaping throughout the campus as well as new, water-saving irrigation equipment. Students from Paramount and neighboring schools and colleges performed much of the planting work.
Completion Date April 2017
Funding Grant funded by San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District. In-kind resources provided by Azusa Unified School District. Project management provided by Amigos de Los Rios.
