Description/Highlights The school is located in a very visible and busy residential area bordered by the 210 Freeway. The inspiration for the project came from the school’s long-standing Environmental Club which had already performed several water conservation projects on campus. This project added new drought-tolerant landscaping throughout the campus as well as new, water-saving irrigation equipment. Students from Mountain View, and neighboring schools and colleges performed much of the planting work.
Completion Date April 2017
Funding Grant funded by San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District. In-kind resources provided by Azusa Unified School District. Project management provided by Amigos de Los Rios.
